Youth Outreach

Youth outreach will be a focus of USA Goaltimate from the start – with a small field size and few players on the field it naturally involves all players at all levels.  Conceptually, the goal scoring mentality aligns with other early youth sports making it a great tool for teaching disc skills. Some additional attributes that make goaltimate a great sport at the youth level:

  • Emphasizes teamwork between the four players on the field.
  • Teams can be easily interchanged to allow players to play with all of their friends.
  • So many high-five opportunities!
  • Easily played mixed and doesn’t require gender-specific match-ups.
  • Fun without keeping score.

USA Goaltimate will be working with league communities across the country to organize youth clinics. We are committed to providing curriculum materials with age-specific drills, field dimensions, and creative ways to teach goaltimate at all youth levels.

YOUTH PROFILE: KAIA ROAST

“Goaltimate has really helped me as an individual improve my quick throw and go movement on the field and confidence in my trick throws. Having more creative throws in my repertoire has been really useful in tough situations on the ultimate field.”

“With fewer players on the field, teammates are encouraged to trust each more and build chemistry with all players – this makes everyone a contributor…

All around goaltimate makes for a more confident and connected team.”

-Kaia Roast, Seattle, WA, Age 16

Goaltimate also improves the confidence of a team. With fewer players on the field, teammates are encouraged to trust each more and build chemistry with all players – this makes everyone a contributor. When everyone on your team gets more touches on the disc, the collective confidence throwing and catching grows exponentially. And teammates who felt confident in their throws and catches in the first place now have more confidence in their teammates.  All around goaltimate makes for a more confident and connected team.”
